Essay Topic

What is SEL?

In your own words, what is social and emotional learning? During your time in high school, was there a time when a teacher, coach or school staff strengthened your social and emotional skills? If so, how did it affect you? If not, what might have changed had you been given a chance to strengthen your social emotional skills?

Submission Deadline: May 1st 2018

  • Submit your essay between 300 and 400 words, by May 1st 2018.
  • On May 2nd we will post all qualifying submissions.
  • Come back to this page to vote for your essay.
  • Voting will take place May 2nd – May 15th 2018 . We will choose the winner out of the 3 submissions with the most votes. Winner will be notified by email.
  • An email reminder will be sent to all students when the voting starts.

2. You must be graduating high school or in college and between the ages of 16 and 22.
